Natalie Mejia Is Engaged
Monday, January 23rd, 2012Natalie Mejia, the pop star and ex member of the girl group “Girlicious”, is currently busy planning her wedding after getting engaged to her long time boyfriend Johnny Robert. She is expressing her happiness with her fans by sharing pictures of her fiancé and her engagement ring on her websites and different social networking sites.
Mejia was part of a girl band named Cherri from 2001 to 2003. She later joined another band called Breathe in 2005 and continued with it for two years. The Latina singer first shot to fame when she joined Girlicious, a reality TV show girl group. The group was originally formed by Robin Antin who also created the famous girl band Pussycat Dolls. Mejia worked in many music albums for this band along with its other members Chrystina Sayers, Tiffanie Anderson and Nichole Corvoda.
Albums released by Girlicious include “Girlicious” and “Rebuilt”. Various works of this band got nominated in many competitions like Reality TV Music Competition and Best Reality Competition. Their track called “Like Me” won the Most Watched Video on Muchmusic.com award.
In February 2011, Natalie Mejia left the band and went on to work on some solo albums. Popular solo singles by this Latina artist include”All The Way” and “Penitentiary”.
The overflowing excitement of the pop star on getting engaged is evident on twitter where she wrote that she really loves Johnny Robert and always wanted to marry him. Her happiness is understandable as the couple has seen many highs and lows in their five year relationship.
They have also been reported to have broken up several times. However, Mejia is sure that she and Johnny have overcome all their problems to live happily ever after. Her engagement has created a great excitement among all Girlicious fans as well as this is the first time anyone from the band has got engaged.
